NWO publishes call Graduate School Green Top Sectors

NWO has published the programme Graduate School Green Top Sectors. This programme offers talented MSc students the opportunity to write, in collaboration with knowledge institutions and private parties, their own proposal for a PhD project within the area of the top sector Agri&Food and Horticulture & Starting Materials. Deadline for submitting proposals is July 3, 2018. The maximum budget is € 2 million. Funding is up to € 250,000 per project.

Aim of the programme is to facilitate innovative and high-quality scientific research within the research field of the top sectors Agri&Food and Horticulture & Starting Materials by engaging young talented researchers at the start of their career. The fundamental research will lay a broad foundation for the direct application of the results and further applied research that will contribute to solving societal and economic challenges within the top sectors. In addition, this programme intends to train young talented researchers and to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between knowledge institutions, public institutions and companies.

Applications can be submitted by a principal applicant on behalf of the project consortium. A consortium consists of at least one knowledge institution eligible for NWO grants together with at least one private partner. One or more public partners may also take part in the consortium.
