James S. McDonnell Foundation - Postdoctoral Fellowship Award in Studying Complex Systems ($ 200,000)

The James S. McDonnell Foundation invites applications for the Postdoctoral Fellowship Award in Studying Complex Systems. Deadline for submitting proposals is June 12, 2015. The JSMF Fellowship is designed to provide students with an opportunity to seek potential postdoctoral research opportunities on the basis of the student’s interest and desire to obtain additional skills and experience that will further their pursuit of careers in complex systems science.

The Studying Complex Systems programme supports scholarship and research directed toward the development of theoretical and mathematical tools that can be applied to the study of complex, adaptive, nonlinear systems. The fellowship should be extended in no less than 2 and no more than 3 years and is eligible for Ph.D. students within 18 months of anticipated completion of graduate training. Funding is up to € 200,000.

The James S. McDonnell Foundation was established to "improve the quality of life," and does so by contributing to the generation of new knowledge through its support of research and scholarship. The Foundation awards grants via the Foundation-initiated, peer-reviewed proposal processes described in the 21st Century Science Initiative.
