Calls SOUL-FI open: Startups Optimizing Urban Life with Future Internet

Web-entrepreneurs or Small Medium Enterprises are invited to submit applications for two open calls SOUL-FI - Startups Optimizing Urban Life with Future Internet. SOUL-FI is a FIWARE Accelerator, funded by the European Commission within the Future Internet Public-Private Partnership (FI-PPP) aiming to grow web-based, innovative solutions like open data and crowd sourced data, for smarter urban life of EU citizens. The first deadline is October 31, 2014. The budget is € 5 million.  

SOUL-FI will provide start up funding and targeted support services to talented entrepreneurs for bringing new products (web based apps and services) into the market. Proposals should address the topics quality of life, mobility, resource efficiency and tourism. The programme is divided in two Open Calls:

Round A call - Ignition ad business plan: € 10,000. The duration is 3 months. Deadlines are October 31, 2014; February 28, 2015; June 26, 2015;
Round B call - Service/Application: up to € 75,000. The duration is 6 months. Deadlines are February 28, 2015; June 26, 2015; October 16, 2015.

SOUL-FI is a project supported by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union under FP7-2013-ICT-FI. The SOUL-FI Consortium is led by Instituto Pedro Nunes (Portugal) and integrates Fondazione per la Ricerca e l’Innovazione (Italy), MyMicroInvest S.A. (Belgium), Agencia de Innovación y Financiación Empresarial de Castilla y León (Spain), Delft University of Technology (Netherlands) and TII - European Association for the Transfer of Technology, Innovation and Industrial Information (Luxembourg).
