JPICH Heritage in Changing Environments call open
The Joint Programming Initiative (JPI) Cultural Heritage and Global Change (JPICH) invites proposals for the Heritage in Changing Environments call. Deadline of submissions is November 30, 2017. The total budget available is € 4.5 million. The Dutch budget is € 750,000. NWO participates for The Netherlands. Funding per project from NWO for the Dutch element of a consortium is up to € 250,000.
The call is designed to support the development of new, research-based ideas and knowledge in response to the rapidly and widely changing context with which heritage and heritage practice is faced. It invites research projects that help cultural heritage to meet societal challenges and contribute to the development of society. The call aims to fund excellent research that is collaborative, transnational, interdisciplinary and innovative.
The maximum project duration is 3 years. Projects must start within 6 months after the funding decision. The latest starting date is November 30, 2018. A project proposal must comprise of at least three research teams, each based in an eligible institution in a different country participating in the call. Besides The Netherlands, the participating countries are Belarus, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Italy, Norway, Poland and United Kingdom.
In order to submit a proposal, the Project Leader of the consortium must register as a user in the MIBACT Platform following all the instructions showed in the MIBACT Platform home page to create an account and to proceed with the proposal submission. It is recommended registering as soon as possible and in any case not more than November 20, 2017.
