Oncode opens call Recruitment Programme

Oncode Institute invites applications for the call for proposals for its Recruitment Programme, which aims to attract candidates for several Oncode Junior Investigator and Oncode Investigator positions. Oncode is a newly established virtual institute in the Netherlands, in which over 600 cancer researchers have joined forces to come up with new solutions for the treatment and diagnosis of cancer. Deadline for submitting proposals for the Recruitment Programme is October 31, 2018.

Up to eleven scientists will be awarded base-funding for the remaining duration of the first phase of Oncode, ending in September 2022. Candidates will be selected for Oncode Junior Investigator positions, receiving a base funding of € 150,000 per year, and Oncode Investigator positions, receiving € 250,000 per year. The call is open to scientists from all Dutch universities and research institutes.

It is Oncode’s objective to further strengthen its scientific community with more outstanding fundamental and translational cancer researchers. The grant may be used to attract PhD students, non-scientific personal or other expenses but may not be used to cover or supplement your own salary. In all cases, investigators will be employed by a recognized academic institution in the Netherlands and subject to the policies, procedures and collective agreements of that institution.

The funding partners of Oncode are the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF Kankerbestrijding), Ministries of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), Health~Holland, the Netherlands Federation of University Medical Centres (NFU), NWO and ZonMw.
