21 talented researchers awarded with Rubicon grant

NWO has awarded 21 talented researchers with a Rubicon grant. The aim of the Rubicon programme is to encourage talented researchers at Dutch universities and research institutes run by KNAW and NWO to dedicate themselves to a career in postdoctoral research. Rubicon offers researchers who have completed their doctorates in the past year the chance to gain experience at a top research institution outside the Netherlands (maximum of two years).

Eleven researchers will leave for the United States, six for Germany, two for the United Kingdom, one for Australia and also one for Sweden. NWO received 97 applications altogether for Rubicon. Nineteen researchers will leave for 24 months, one for 19 months and also one for 15 months.
