New calls European Investment Bank University Research Sponsorship

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has published two new calls for its University Research Sponsorship Programme (EIBURS). The closing date to submit a proposal is September 13, 2013. EIBURS provides grants to University Research Centres working on research topics and themes of major interest to the EIB. For the academic year 2013/2014, the programme has selected two new lines of research:
• Smart city development: Applying European and international experience to the Mediterranean region;
• Administrative capacity-building in Europe.

The EIB provides sponsorships of up to € 100,000 per year for a period of three years. They are awarded to interested university departments or research centres, associated with universities of EU, candidate countries or potential candidate countries, with recognised expertise in EIB-selected areas, so they can expand their activities in these areas.
