New Joint Programming Initiative HDHL call published - Nutrition & the Epigenome

The JPI Healthy Diet for A Healthy Life (HDHL) has published a new joint call Nutrition & the Epigenome. Deadline for submitting a proposal is April 12, 2018. Aim of this call is to support transnational, collaborative research projects that gain a better understanding of the diet-epigenome relationships and their effect on human health.

The following JPI HDHL Member Countries participate in the call: Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, the Netherlands, Spain and UK. ZonMw participates on behalf of the Netherlands. Dutch researchers/ research groups from universities (or other higher education institutions), academic hospitals and non-university public research institutes can submit a proposal as part of a transnational consortium.

 

The total budget available for the Netherlands is € 900,000. ZonMw wants to fund approximately three proposals with Dutch participation. The total budget available from all countries is more than € 8 million.

 

JPI HDHL aims to coordinate research on the impact of diet and lifestyles on health, significantly contributing to the construction of a fully operational European Research Area for the prevention of diet-related diseases and strengthening the leadership and competitiveness of research activities in this field.
