Diabetes - new EFSD grants (€ 400,000)

The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) has published new funding opportunities for this year. Deadlines are in February, March and April. Grants are up to € 400,000. EFSD offers support in all areas of diabetes research through a wide range of joint initiatives and stand-alone initiatives. Funding is available throughout the year. The calls are the following:

EFSD/Lilly Research Fellowship Programme: € 50,000 each. Deadline of submission is February 15, 2015;
EASD Rising Star Symposium and EFSD Rising Star Fellowship Programme: four fellowships will be awarded for € 30,000 each. Deadline of submission is February 15, 2015;
EFSD/Sanofi Programme for Collaborative Clinical Diabetes Research between European and Non-European Countries: each up to € 100,000. Deadline of submission is March 1, 2015;
EFSD/Boehringer Ingelheim European Diabetes Basic Research Programme - Regulations of secretion and/or function of non-beta cell pancreatic hormones: grants are each of up to € 100,000 in total for projects lasting up to 2 years. Deadline of submission is April 1, 2015;
EFSD/Boehringer Ingelheim European Diabetes Clinical Research Programme - Mechanisms relating renal dysfunction to cardiovascular disease in type 2 diabetes: grants are each of up to € 400,000 in total for projects lasting up to 3 years. Deadline of submission is April 1, 2015;
Available throughout the year: Albert Renold Travel Fellowships supported by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD): Each Fellowship will be for up to € 8,000.
