International Nature Protection - Van Tienhoven Award 2015

The Van Tienhoven Foundation for International Nature Protection invites nominations for its Van Tienhoven Award. Deadline of submission is August 14, 2015. The Van Tienhoven Award especially targets persons working on practical nature conservation at the grassroot level, such as game guards, game guides, local authorities, villagers, volunteers, etc.

The Award consists of a honorary medal, a certificate and a subsidy for the nominee and his/her colleagues. Those eligible are individuals:
• Working at grassroot level of nature conservation outside developed countries; 
• Proven outstanding performance; 
• Having contributed directly and practically to nature conservation, for many years under difficult conditions.

Candidates for the Van Tienhoven Award can only be nominated by organisations or persons that have been recipients of financial support of the Van Tienhoven Foundation, and by members and former members of the Board.
