The European Commission has published a specific call under the EU programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (COSME). The call COS-TSUST-2014-3-15 - More favourable conditions for business creation and growth, Diversifying the EU tourism offer and products - Sustainable transnational tourism products closes October 1, 2014. The call aims at strengthening competitiveness in the European tourism sector by encouraging diversification of the supply of tourist services and products. The specific objectives of the call are to:

• Support projects promoting trans-national tourism routes, itineraries, trails, either physical or virtual;
• Stimulate competitiveness of the tourism industry;
• Encourage the diversification of the supply of tourism products and services by the development of sustainable tourism products;
• Encourage the participation of SMEs and create a framework favourable to SMEs' cooperation.

This call is expected to co-fund 5 proposals.
