China - KNAW China Exchange Programme 2016/2017

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) invites applications for its China Exchange Programme (CEP). Deadline for submitting applications is September 1, 2016. The CEP aims to foster scientific research cooperation between the Netherlands and the People’s Republic of China. The programme supports (the initiation of) collaboration in all fields of research. The programme facilitates the exchanges of junior researchers, short-term joint research projects, and a yearly themed summer school. Funding is up to € 50,000 per project per year. The annual budget is € 470,000, dived as follows:

Joint Research Projects - € 320,000 per year;
Summer Schools -  € 50,000 per year;
Individual Visits -  € 100,000 per year.

The CEP is carried out within the framework of the memoranda of understanding between the Netherlands Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW) and three Chinese counterpart organizations, the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).
