Parkinson's - MJFF launches series of funding programmes ($ 10,000,000)

The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) has launched a new series of funding programmes: 
• Target Validation: Pre-Proposals Due: October 30, 2013;
• Therapeutic Pipeline Program: Pre-Proposals Due: October 30, 2013;
• Parkin Biology & Therapeutic Development 2013: Pre-proposals Due: June 19, 2013;
• Cognition Biomarkers RFA 2013: Pre-Proposals Due: June 19, 2013;
• LRRK2 Role in Idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease 2013: Pre-Proposals Due: June 19, 2013.

Other upcoming funding opportunities are:
• Rapid Response Innovation Awards: No deadline; Applications accepted anytime;
• Dyskinesia Challenge 2013: No deadline; applications accepted anytime up to one year in duration;
• LRRK2 Challenge 2013: No deadline; applications accepted anytime, up to one year;
• Neurotrophic Factors Challenge 2013: No deadline; applications accepted anytime, up to one year in duration.

While our strong emphasis is on funding translational and clinical research, we also support high-risk/high-reward discovery work to help keep new ideas flowing into the drug development pipeline.
