Rett Syndrome - ANGEL and HeART Awards Cycle 2 ($ 300,000)

The International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) invites applications for HeART (Help Accelerate RTT Therapeutics) and ANGEL (Advanced Neurotherapeutic Grant of Excellence) grant awards. Deadline for submitting LOI's for the second cycle is July 1, 2013. Goal of the HeART grant award is to provide seed funding for early stage drug discovery and development efforts. The maximum funding level is $ 150,000 for two years. With the ANGEL Award IRSF wants to provide funding for the later stages of translational research. For this grant award the maximum funding level is $ 300,000 per year for up to two years.

The IRSF grant awards are meant to provide seed money for research that encompasses innovative therapeutic approaches and cutting-edge diagnostic techniques that will lead to follow-on funding. The core mission of the IRSF is to fund research for treatments and a cure for Rett syndrome while enhancing the overall quality of life for those living with Rett syndrome by providing information, programs, and services.
