Trans-Atlantic Platform launches Social Innovation Call

The Trans-Atlantic Platform (T-AP) has launched a new call for proposals for its activity Social Innovation, which will support international projects that can contribute to increasing our understanding of societal transformations and the role of social innovation. Deadline of submissions is February 14, 2019. The NWO domain of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) will participate on behalf of the Netherlands with a budget of up to € 800,000. Funding will be up to € 250,000 per project.

Besides Dutch organisations, the call brings together funding organisations from Brazil, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom. Teams with members from at least three of these countries may apply. They must include partners from both sides of the Atlantic. Research partners will receive funding from the national funding agency from their country of origin for projects that can last up to 36 months.

The T-AP is a collaboration among key humanities and social sciences research funders in Europe and the Americas. It aims to enhance transnational research collaboration and has identified, with the help of the research community, a series of common challenges and strategic priority areas where such collaboration will bring added value.
