First call Interreg North Sea Region Programme 2014 - 2020 closes with promising results

By the close of the first call for applications NSR receives a total of 79 applications. Project applicants could submit either an expression of interest or go directly to submitting a full application. The final count shows a promising interest in becoming part of the 2014 - 2020 programme: NSR receives 51 expressions of interest and 28 full applications. The Steering Committee meets in November to decide which full applications and expressions of interest will help shape the North Sea Region in 2014 - 2020. Priority 1, Thinking growth, received the most attention, followed by priority 3, Sustainable North Sea Region. For more information please click here.

The North Sea Region Programme 2014 - 2020 builds on knowledge and experience generated in previous programming periods since the year 2000. Aim of the programme is to support development and foster sustained economic growth across the region. NSR supports enterprises, institutions, public administrations, NGOs and others to pool their expertise, share their experience and cooperate to develop realistic solutions to problems shared by organisations across the region. NSR focuses on four themes that are most relevant and pressing across the region:

• Thinking Growth: Supporting growth in North Sea Region economies;

• Eco-innovation: Stimulating the green economy;

• Sustainable North Sea Region: Protecting against climate change and preserving the environment;

• Promoting green transport and mobility.
