Microbiology - FEMS-Jensen Award 2015 (€ 10,000)

The Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) invites applications for its FEMS-Jensen Award. The deadline for receipt of applications is March 1, 2015. The award is intended to recognise academic achievement and superior research accomplishments showing significant potential to develop an outstanding research career. The award comprises a fellowship for spending at least half a year in an outstanding research laboratory chosen by the applicant.

The maximum award is € 10,000 and includes a monthly allowance of € 1,600 and travel expenses. The grant cannot be used to pay for tuition fees.

Eligible are outstanding European microbiology researchers in the final stages of their PhD studies, or those who received their PhD-degree less than three years from the application deadline. In addition applicants should be less than 36 years old at the time of the application deadline.
