Nominations Heineken Young Scientists Awards 2018 open

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) invites nominations for the Heineken Young Scientists Awards 2018. Deadline of submission is February 1, 2018. The awards are intended to give four talented young scientists and scholars extra encouragement. They are presented every other year to promising young researchers whose outstanding work sets an example for other young scientists and scholars. The prize money for each award is € 10,000.

The awards will be presented in the domains Humanities, Social Sciences, Medical/Biomedical Sciences and Natural Sciences. The candidates must have obtained their PhD three to eight years prior to the presentation of the Awards. Members of the Royal Academy and The Young Academy, governing boards and deans of Dutch universities and directors of Academy and NWO research institutes may nominate the candidates.

The ceremony for the Heineken Young Scientists Awards will take place together with the ceremony for the international Heineken Prizes, at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam on September 27, 2018.
