Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America - Senior Research Award 2013-2 ($115,830)

The Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) asks for Letters of Intent for the Senior Research Awards. The closing date is November 1, 2013. The total direct costs (salary, supplies, personnel, etc.) per year may not exceed $115,830. The duration of the award is one to three years. The awards are meant for established researchers who hold an MD, PhD or equivalent and are employed by a public non-profit, private non-profit, or government institution engaged in health care and/or health related research.

CCFA's guiding mission is to stimulate and encourage innovative research in the basic biomedical and clinical sciences, which is likely to increase our understanding of the etiology, pathogenesis, therapy, and prevention of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease or IBD). In addition, the foundation offers training awards to encourage the early developmental stages of individuals with research potential for a career of independent basic and/or clinical investigation in IBD.
