Update pre-announcement call for European-Chinese joint research projects

NWO has published new information on the call for European-Chinese joint research projects. The research funding organisations of France (ANR), Germany (DFG), The Netherlands (NWO) and the United Kingdom (ESRC) announce a new multi-lateral collaboration with the NSFC in China consisting of a joint research programme on two basic societal challenges:
• Green Economy;
• Understanding population Change.

The complete call will be launched in early September of this year. The closing date for submitting proposals will be December 3, 2013. Proposals should include leading European researchers wishing to develop contacts with leading researchers from universities or institutions in China, and proposals should involve participation from at least two different participating European countries and at least two universities or institutions from China which are eligible to apply at NSFC. Projects must start on July 1, 2014 and have a maximum duration of 3 years.
